In April 2024, the Beijing Municipal People's Government issued the Decision on the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Award in 2023. The project of "Construction of a transformation system for the industry-university-research application of new technologies for the detection of pathogens and study of pathogenic mechanisms of Important Infectious Diseases" jointly declared by the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Beijing Hotgen Biotech Co., Ltd., and Beijing Sungen Biomedical Technology Co., Ltd., won the First Prize of "2023 Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award". This is another important award after the company won the second prize of National Technology Invention, the second prize of China Medical Science and Technology Award, the first prize of Innovation of Private operated Science and Technology Development Contribution Award, and the second prize of Shanghai Science and Technology, which reflects the pursuit and comprehensive strength of Hotgen Biotech on the way of improving high-level technology and creating the core competitiveness of science innovation.

The project of "Construction of a transformation system for the industry-university-research application of new technologies for the detection of pathogens and study of pathogenic mechanisms of Important Infectious Diseases" has taken the lead in the world in solving problems with a number of technologies such as electron chromatography and nanoencapsulated firefly probes. To overcome the technical difficulty, the automatic chemiluminescence, microfluidic and digital PCR detection systems with full independent intellectual property rights, the international level antibody preparation system and the pathogenic mechanism research system are established.
The target of the invasion of COVID-19 and the disorder of glucose and lipid Metabolism was discovered by the project and published in international journals such as Nature Metabolism and Nature Communications.
Based on the project, 8 patents and soft licenses, more than 20 medical device registrations, and more than 100 authoritative certifications from EU CE and US FDA were obtained, which are applied to the development of diagnostic products for important infectious diseases such as plague bacteria, coronavirus, monkeypox and influenza A. The project provides a deep integration innovation paradigm for the development and industrialization of advanced domestic diagnostic reagents in the public health industry.
