Recently, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission organized experts to conduct on-site evaluation on "Experimental Animal Use License (New)" of Sungen Biomedical Laboratory Animal Management Center. As a subsidiary of Beijing Hotgen Biotech, Sungen passed the evaluation with high scores, and obtained the "Experimental Animal Use License" issued by Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission. The Animal Management Center is an important platform for innovative Biomedical companies to carry out basic and translational research, and the acquisition of this license is of great significance for enhancing Sungen Biomedical's comprehensive ability in basic and pharmacodynamic research.
At the review meeting, as the general manager of Sungen Biomedical, Professor Zhiwei Sun together with Pharmacy departments, introduced the overall situation of Sungen Biomedical Laboratory Animal Management Center to experts from Beijing Experimental Animal Management Office who visited the site. The committee agreed with the construction and management of Sungen Biomedical Laboratory Animal Management Center. The facilities, conditions, and staffing of Sungen Biomedical Laboratory Animal Management Center met the requirements of Beijing "Experimental Animal Use License", and they voted it pass the "Experimental Animal Use License" evaluation.
In the future, Sungen Biomedical will adhere to the concept of "team, cooperation, innovation and perfection", constantly improve internal construction, fully support the animal platform for scientific research, carry out high-level research and development work, and improve the company's innovative drug development to a new level.
Sungen Biomedical Laboratory Animal Management Center is located in Building 5, No. 55, Qingfeng West Road, Daxing District, Beijing, covering an area of 1100 square meters, including 380 square meters of barrier environment and 120 square meters of ordinary environment. It can be used to carry out animal research on SPF grade rats, mice, guinea pigs, gophers and ordinary experimental rabbits, with a total of more than 2300 cages for rats and mice. The Animal Management Center has built several technical platforms such as small animal surgery platform, small animal live imaging platform, CDX, and PDX model platform, equipped with advanced animal experimental equipments, including small animal live imaging system, small animal anesthesia machine, and animal stereomicroscopes, etc., which meet the needs of high-level animal experiments in different disciplines.
