In recent years, Daxing biomedical industry Base, known as "China's Pharmaceutical Valley", has introduced high-tech enterprises and focused on promoting the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and pharmaceutical industry.


With the support of AI, the efficiency of industrial fields such as "new drug research and development", "target discovery" and "surgery" has been greatly improved. Automatic extraction of atlas data, automatic design of small molecule drug AI, dry and wet integrated AI antibody drug laboratory, neurosurgical robots and other products have been applied, forming a series of new quality productivity to accelerate the cultivation and development of new products.


In order to enhance innovation, the biomedical base focuses on introducing national scientific institutes for a high level of academic support. Remarkable results have been achieved in scientific and technological innovation and product application.


Founded in 2005, Beijing Hotgen Biotech Co., Ltd. is headquartered in the biomedical base. Recently, Hotgen X-Gen AI New Drug Discovery and Design Research Center has published a paper in PLOS Computational Biology, a high-impact classic journal in the field of bioinformatics and computational Biology.


The study establishes a route that helps antibody affinity maturation through computation, effectively predicts key amino acids, and uses these predictions to guide directed mutations of antibodies. The team successfully obtained a high-affinity antibody targeting TSLP, providing an important methodology in development of targeted therapeutic antibodies.


Lin Changqing, chairman of Beijing Hotgen Biotech Co., Ltd., said that AI technology was the "accelerator" of the pharmaceutical industry and breaking the "double ten law" of drug development (at least 10 years and costs $1 billion to successfully develop a new drug). The use of AI technology in drug research completed the accurate design of nucleic acid sequences within 8 hours, and antibody molecules with 10 times higher affinity can be obtained within two months.
